I am a clinical social worker and I offer:

  • individual or family therapy for adolescents and adults
  • couples therapy
  • training and practice groups in Focusing

I believe psychotherapy is a creative conversation that moves you in the direction of health, happiness and greater meaning in life. It can open up the potential for growth that already exists within you.

For more than 30 years, I have helped adults and adolescents solve problems and cope with many of life’s challenges. I will work with you to understand your situation, solve problems, and achieve the growth you seek. I will make every effort to make your therapy experience supportive, informative, healing and enjoyable.

As a therapist, I am active and involved. I use many models for growth and change: Focusing oriented therapy, psychosocial assessment, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, relaxation and stress management techniques, 12-step recovery programs, family systems, trauma, and educational approaches. I also draw on concepts from various spiritual traditions, including Buddhism.

A certified Focusing trainer, I can incorporate this effective technique into therapy. Focusing can bring new insights, help with decision-making, release blocks to creativity and reduce stress. I am available to teach Focusing and lead Focusing trainings.
